As part of the efforts to fulfill their social responsibility, Continental Saudi, the leading manufacturer of tires and automotive components, has entered into a collaboration agreement with UQAB Team, one of the team participating in Saudi Formula 1 team in schools. This collaboration aims to support and develop UQAB Team, enabling them to reach global levels in the F1 in schools’ competition and support talented Saudi youth.
UQAB Team consists of six ambitious Saudi students based in Al Madinah city. The team was founded to promote sports and technology in Saudi schools and encourage young people to develop their skills in engineering and innovation, the team aims to achieve success in F1 in schools’ championships at both the national and international levels.
This collaboration reflects Continental Saudi’s vision to support youth, encourage innovation, and advance technology in the Kingdom. It also demonstrates the company’s commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability, as the participating teams will use non-plastic materials and promote environmental awareness during the events.
This event is expected to continue throughout the current year of 2024 and includes a series of practical training sessions for school students on the principles of Formula 1. A competition will also be held to submit innovative 3D designs that simulate a Formula 1 miniature car from sustainable materials.
