Nutanix and Saudi Ministry of Media Sign MoU to Build a More Resilient, AI-Ready Digital Foundation for the Media Sector

  – Nutanix (NASDAQ: NTNX), a leader in hybrid multicloud computing and the Saudi Ministry of Media signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at LEAP 2026 to strengthen cooperation around the development and modernization of the Ministry’s digital infrastructure, with a focus on hybrid cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), cyber resilience, knowledge transfer and digital innovation.

The agreement reflects a shared ambition to create a more flexible and resilient technology foundation capable of supporting the evolving requirements of the media sector. Under the MoU, Nutanix will support the Ministry in exploring and developing hybrid computing environments that enable applications and workloads to operate and move seamlessly across data centers and different cloud environments.

Rather than treating infrastructure modernization as an end in itself, the collaboration places emphasis on creating the technological flexibility required to support innovation, operational efficiency and improved beneficiary experiences.

A key component of the agreement is business continuity. Nutanix will contribute to the development of secure and resilient infrastructure designed to support disaster recovery and strengthen cybersecurity, helping create greater continuity across the Ministry’s digital environment.

The MoU also places a strong emphasis on national capability building and technical knowledge transfer, with cooperation spanning hybrid, multi-environment cloud computing and modern infrastructure management. The two parties will also explore the study, design and development of digital platforms and solutions incorporating emerging technologies to enhance user experiences and operational efficiency.

Talal Al-Saif, Regional Director for Saudi Arabia at Nutanix said: “The future of media is increasingly defined by how quickly organizations can adapt to new technologies, new consumption models and new digital experiences. That requires an infrastructure foundation that is not only powerful, but also flexible, resilient and ready for what comes next. Our collaboration with the Ministry of Media is about helping build that foundation, bringing together hybrid cloud capabilities, AI readiness, cyber resilience and knowledge transfer to support a more agile digital environment.”

“What makes this collaboration particularly meaningful is its focus beyond technology deployment. Building sustainable digital capabilities requires knowledge, skills and the ability to continuously innovate. We are pleased to work alongside the Ministry to explore solutions that can improve operational efficiency today while creating greater flexibility for the technologies and experiences of tomorrow,” he added.

Eng. Ahmed Salem Al-Rashdi, General Supervisor of the General Departments at the Digital Transformation Agency, Ministry of Media, said: “Modern media organizations require digital infrastructure that can keep pace with an environment where content, platforms and audience expectations are constantly evolving. Our collaboration with Nutanix will support our efforts to strengthen the flexibility, resilience and modernization of the Ministry’s digital infrastructure, while enabling us to explore new approaches to hybrid cloud and emerging technologies.”

“Equally important is developing national capabilities and transferring technical knowledge. This MoU provides a framework for cooperation that brings together infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, business continuity and innovation, while supporting our broader objective of delivering more efficient and effective digital experiences,” he continued.

Through the agreement, Nutanix and the Ministry will explore hybrid cloud and infrastructure integration that can enable applications and workloads to move seamlessly between data centers and different cloud environments. The collaboration will also address secure and flexible infrastructure capabilities supporting disaster recovery and enhanced cybersecurity, alongside opportunities to build national technical capabilities in hybrid, multi-environment cloud computing and modern infrastructure management.

In parallel, the two parties will explore digital platforms, solutions and emerging technologies that can contribute to improved beneficiary experiences and greater operational efficiency.

The collaboration forms part of Nutanix’s continued engagement with organizations across Saudi Arabia as they modernize their technology environments and seek infrastructure architectures capable of supporting cloud, AI and emerging digital requirements.
